Cyprus and Greece strengthen bilateral trade ties

Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry of Cyprus, Michalis Damianos, announced that the total volume of trade in goods between Cyprus and Greece reached €3.3 billion in 2025. This statement was made ahead of a scheduled meeting in Nicosia on Monday with the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Harry Theoharis, who oversees economic diplomacy and extroversion.

The upcoming meeting aims to focus on the international trade portfolio of the Cypriot Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. Both officials plan to discuss strategies to further strengthen the economic and trade relations between the two nations. Greece remains a vital partner for Cyprus, playing a significant role in both the import and export sectors of the Cypriot economy.

The discussion is framed as a constructive effort to build upon the existing close economic ties between the two countries. No further policy decisions were announced, as the meeting remains focused on reinforcing established trade channels and evaluating the current performance of the bilateral commercial partnership.
