Forest fires reported in Aliveri and Ilia regions

On Friday, two separate wildfires broke out in Greece. The first incident occurred around 14:00 in the forest area of Partheni, Aliveri, Evia. Authorities issued a 112 emergency alert at 14:21, urging residents to remain vigilant. Firefighting operations involve 40 firefighters, two special forest unit teams, 12 vehicles, and volunteers, supported by six aircraft and two helicopters. The region was classified as a level 3 fire risk area.

Simultaneously, a wildfire was reported in an agricultural and forest zone in Cheimadio, Ilia. This operation includes 22 firefighters, a special unit team, seven vehicles, and three aircraft tasked with containment. Local municipalities are actively assisting in the fire suppression efforts across both affected regions, as crews continue to work under challenging conditions to prevent the spread of the flames.
