Four-year-old child dies after falling from sixth-floor apartment in Engomi

A tragic incident occurred in Engomi, Nicosia, on the evening of Saturday, September 12, 2026, when a four-year-old boy fell from the sixth-floor apartment where he resided with his parents and 18-month-old sibling. The child was discovered on the ground floor at approximately 6:15 p.m. and was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:50 p.m. despite medical efforts.

Following the event, the police arrested the child’s parents, a 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, to facilitate investigations.
