Authorities have launched an investigation into a medical couple, identified as Gakas and Theodoropoulos, following multiple allegations of fraud involving former patients of singer Giorgos Mazonakis. Complaints allege that the doctors used deceptive diagnostic claims—such as reporting non-existent parasites, blood impurities, or cancer—to pressure patients into paying for unnecessary and expensive medical procedures.

Specific claims include one victim paying 6,000 euros for blood treatment and allegations of patients being charged 10,000 euros for fertility-related procedures. Another witness reported severe emotional distress after their spouse was falsely diagnosed with cancer by Ioanna Gaka. The accused face scrutiny over their billing transparency and professional conduct as more individuals come forward with similar accounts.
