Woman murdered by husband in the occupied territories of Cyprus

A 35-year-old woman was murdered by her 41-year-old husband in the occupied territories of Cyprus on the afternoon of Saturday, September 12, 2026. The incident occurred near the industrial area of Gerolakkos on the Morphou-Nicosia road, after the couple engaged in a verbal altercation while driving. The perpetrator reportedly veered the vehicle off the road and traveled 110 meters into a field, where he fatally struck his wife in the head with an electric cutting tool.
