Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra Academy announces new scholarship positions

The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra Academy has opened applications for 22 new partial scholarships for the upcoming academic year. The program, which runs from September to May, offers instruction in various orchestral instruments. Participants will attend two 45-minute lessons per week under the guidance of tutors selected by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation.

Applicants do not need prior musical experience, as selection is based on auditions and interviews that evaluate rhythmic ability, tonal response, and musical memory. For violin, viola, and cello, candidates must be up to 8 years old, while for all other instruments, the age limit is 9 years. Successful students will pay a monthly tuition fee of €80 for 2026, with the Foundation covering the remaining costs.
