Valencia seeks new manager after Corberan's dismissal

Following the dismissal, the club's administration initiated a search for a successor, initially targeting Ernesto Valverde, who reportedly declined the offer and expressed intentions to retire from coaching.

Subsequently, the club approached Jose Luis Mendilibar, recently departed from Olympiacos. However, reports confirm that Mendilibar also rejected the position, choosing to remain in Greece. While initial Spanish media reports speculated that Mendilibar was the primary candidate, the focus has now shifted to 68-year-old Mexican manager Javier Aguirre.

Aguirre has reportedly signaled his consent to take over the managerial role and is currently in advanced discussions with the club to finalize the contract. The transition marks a period of significant instability for the historic Spanish side as they attempt to recover from their poor domestic performance.
