Nicosia police issue appeals for two missing persons

Cyprus police have issued separate appeals for information regarding the whereabouts of two individuals missing from their residences in Nicosia. Georgios Grigoropoulos, a 49-year-old Greek national, was last seen on September 7, 2026, at 1 p.m., with his disappearance reported to authorities on September 10. He is described as 1.75 meters tall, of medium build, with grey-white hair and a dark complexion, and is noted to be missing several front teeth. At the time of his departure, he was wearing a dark blue T-shirt, shorts, and dark sports shoes.

Separately, authorities are searching for 17-year-old Bulgarian national Emiliyan Yordanov, who has been missing since September 2, 2026. He is described as 1.67 meters tall with a normal build and short brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black T-shirt, grey shorts, and black sports shoes. Anyone with information regarding either individual is urged to contact the Nicosia CID at 22-802222, the nearest police station, or the Citizen’s Line at 1460.
