Police search for three missing persons in the Nicosia district

Authorities in Nicosia are currently seeking public assistance to locate three individuals who have been reported missing in separate incidents. Georgios Grigoropoulos, a 49-year-old Greek national, has been missing from his residence since 1:00 p.m. on September 7, 2026. He is described as 1.75 meters tall, with grey-white hair and noticeably missing front teeth. He was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt and shorts.

Separately, Emiliyan Yordanov, a 17-year-old from Bulgaria, has been reported missing since September 2, 2026. He is 1.67 meters tall with short brown hair, last seen wearing a black T-shirt and grey shorts. Additionally, 16-year-old Sotiroula Oikonomidou has been missing from her home in Aglantzia since 1:00 a.m. on September 16, 2026. She is 1.60 meters tall, of slim build, with long black hair, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.

The police have launched investigations into all three disappearances. Members of the public with information regarding any of these individuals are urged to contact the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at 22-802222, their nearest police station, or the Citizen’s Line at 1460.
