Ccci seeks extension of zero vat on meat and fish

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry has officially requested an extension of the zero VAT rate on meat and fish to help mitigate rising living costs. In a formal letter to Finance Minister Makis Keravnos, Secretary General Philokypros Roussounides argued that the measure is essential for maintaining price stability for households. The chamber warns that reinstating standard VAT could harm consumer purchasing power and increase financial burdens on food retailers already struggling with high operational expenses.
