Road improvement works announced in Paphos and Strovolos

The Paphos Municipality has announced that improvement works on Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, covering both the Paphos and Yeroskipou (Konia) municipal areas, will begin on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. These works, which include repairs to the road surface and pavements, are scheduled to conclude on September 18, 2026. During this period, one lane of the avenue—specifically the downward lane from Konia towards Paphos—will be closed to traffic between the junctions of Achepans Street and Thassou Street. A traffic management plan is in place, and drivers are advised to utilize side roads to minimize congestion.

Separately, the Strovolos Municipality has notified the public of upcoming construction works on Tseriou Street at its junction with Platonos Street. This specific section of the road will be completely closed to traffic for three days, from Thursday, September 17, to Saturday, September 19, 2026. Traffic will be diverted through Charalambou Pettemeridi and Patriarchou Gregoriou streets. Motorists are urged to follow local signage to navigate the area.
