Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation reports record startup proposal submissions

The Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announced that its latest PRE-SEED/0526 programme call for the creation and initial development of startups with an international orientation has received a record 284 proposals. The submission window concluded on September 11, 2026, with all applications processed through the foundation’s IRIS electronic services portal.

The high volume of submissions, described by the RIF as the largest in the programme's history, reflects the strengthening momentum of the Cypriot startup ecosystem. These grants are intended to support teams and businesses in the early stages of converting innovative ideas into products and services designed for global markets. By facilitating this growth, the RIF aims to solidify the foundation of new companies with international growth potential.

The next phase of the process will involve a rigorous evaluation of the submitted proposals.
