Obituary notices for Limassol residents

The community of Limassol has announced three upcoming funeral services for local residents. Christos Christodoulou, aged 48, passed away on September 12, 2026. His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Archangel Michael Church in Monovolikos. The family has requested that contributions be made to the Cyprus Thalassaemia Association.

Galateia Dimou Tryfonos, aged 95, died on September 14, 2026. Her service will take place on Wednesday, September 16, at 4:00 p.m. at the Saint Mamas Church in the village of Agios Mamas. Donations in her memory are requested for the church.

Additionally, Angelos Sokratous, a dedicated supporter of AEL Limassol, passed away prematurely. His funeral will also be held on Wednesday, September 16, at 4:00 p.m. at the Holy Cross Church in Pano Polemidia. The family has requested that attendees avoid wearing black clothing and announced that they will not be accepting condolences. Instead of wreaths, they are requesting financial contributions to support the family.
