Four youths arrested for spree of burglaries in Paphos
On September 14, 2026, police arrested four individuals, aged 17 and 18, who are residents of Nicosia, in connection with a series of burglaries committed in the Paphos district. The suspects, who allegedly operated on a single motorcycle, are linked to ten separate incidents that took place during the early morning hours of August 22, 2026.
The targets of the spree included three pharmacies, three gas stations, a cafeteria, a fruit market, and a grocery store located in areas such as Kato Paphos, Chloraka, and Tala. Authorities report that the group smashed shop windows and stole cash and other property valued at approximately 5,000 euros, with theft occurring at five of the ten targeted locations. The suspects face charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, burglary, theft, and malicious damage to property.
Following their arrest, the four individuals were brought before the Paphos District Court on September 15, 2026. The court subsequently issued an order for their detention for eight days to facilitate ongoing investigations by the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
