Digital evidence emerges in the death investigation of Giorgos Mazonakis

Forensic experts from the Hellenic Police have recovered deleted digital evidence from the mobile phone of Ioanna Gaka, a key figure in the investigation into the death of singer Giorgos Mazonakis. Analysts retrieved two photos and one video created on the afternoon of September 9, while Mazonakis was allegedly present at a medical office on Karneadou Street. One of the photos was captured at 14:43:36 and was subsequently shared with another number. Records indicate that all three files were deleted shortly after 19:09 on that same day.

These findings emerge during a critical period in the ongoing investigation. At the time of the file deletions, police were searching for Gaka and another physician, Ilias Theodoropoulos. Both individuals subsequently reported to the Kypseli police station at 19:45 on September 9 to provide statements regarding the case. The forensic analysis now provides a precise timeline of the creation, transmission, and destruction of these specific digital assets, which authorities consider highly significant for clarifying the events surrounding the singer's final hours.
