Forensic evidence reveals digital tampering in death of Giorgos Mazonakis

Forensic analysis of a mobile phone belonging to the doctor in charge, Ioanna Gaka, has revealed that two photographs and one video were taken during the medical session and subsequently deleted at 19:09 that same evening, shortly before the doctors went to the Kypseli police station to provide statements.

Following the incident, the Athens Prosecutor's Office ordered an urgent five-year investigation into the regulatory oversight of the Medical Association of Athens and other public bodies regarding private clinics offering regenerative therapies. Meanwhile, authorities are examining the testimony of a 60-year-old man who was present at the clinic shortly before emergency services were called, a person whose presence was reportedly omitted by the clinic staff.
