Cyprus Department of Road Transport announces recall of four vehicle models

The Cyprus Department of Road Transport (TOM) has issued a safety notification regarding four vehicle models recently recalled across the European Union. This action follows reports received from the Consumer Protection Service via the EU's 'Safety Gate' early warning system during the 36th week of 2026. Authorities confirmed that all four affected vehicle types have been associated with reported injuries.

The recalled vehicles include the Husqvarna motorcycle (manufactured in 2022) and the Mercedes Benz GLE-Class passenger car (manufactured between August 29, 2022, and September 3, 2025). Additionally, two camper van series are affected: the Weinsberg (including XCursion Pepper, CaraSuite, CaraHome, and CaraCompact) and the Knaus series (including L!VE I, VAN TI, L!VE WAVE, SKY TI, SUN TI, L!VE TI, SKY WAVE, L!VE TRAVELLER, and Box Time), both with production dates spanning from May 2017 to April 2026.

All manufacturers, distributors, importers, and retailers operating within the Republic of Cyprus are mandated to notify the Department of Road Transport if they have sold or are currently offering these specific products for sale. This measure is part of a broader effort to ensure consumer safety and remove defective products from the national market.
