Cyprus stock market closes lower on Monday

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) ended its trading session on Monday with broad losses across all indices. The General Index fell by 0.97% to close at 315.70 points, while the FTSE/CySE 20 index mirrored this decline, also dropping 0.97% to reach 185.50 points. The total value of transactions amounted to €348,291.89 across 86 recorded trades.

Sector performance showed universal weakness, with the Main Market shedding 1.30%, Hotels falling 0.82%, Investment Companies declining 0.35%, and the Alternative Market dropping 0.03%. Atlantic Insurance saw the highest turnover at €207,972.66, closing steady at €2.38. Bank of Cyprus shares recorded a 1.97% decline, finishing at €10.45, while Logicom fell 2.84% to €2.74. Overall, only two stocks saw price increases, eight declined, and three remained unchanged.
