Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos meets new US Ambassador John Breslow

John Breslow, a businessman and former Nebraska state auditor, was nominated by President Donald Trump and confirmed by the US Senate on August 7, 2026, marking a departure from the tradition of appointing career diplomats to the post in Nicosia. Following today's introductory meeting, the ambassador is scheduled to be received by the President of the Republic of Cyprus at the Presidential Palace on September 15 at 10:00 a.m. Both sides expressed mutual optimism regarding the future of bilateral relations.
