Fire damages residence in Livadia, Larnaca

A fire broke out at a residence in Livadia, in the Larnaca district, on the afternoon of Monday, September 15, 2026. The Larnaca Fire Station, specifically the Andreas Papadopoulos station, received the call at 17:38 and dispatched two fire engines to the scene. Firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control by 18:06.

The fire originated during waterproofing works being performed on the home's tiled wooden roof. To ensure the fire was completely extinguished and to prevent further spread, fire service personnel performed a partial demolition of the roof structure. As a result of the flames and intense heat, the roof sustained extensive damage.
