Fire incidents reported in Paphos and Larnaca districts

In a separate incident on September 16, a fire broke out near the community of Yiolou in the Paphos district. Strong ground forces, including 23 personnel from the Forestry Department, five fire engines, and two tankers, were deployed alongside aircraft to battle the blaze. Footage from the volunteer group 'Atlas' indicated the flames were burning close to residential properties. By midday Wednesday, authorities confirmed that the fire had been successfully extinguished.
