Recent fire incidents in Cyprus districts

On September 14, 2026, a house fire occurred in Livadia, Larnaca, caused by waterproofing works on a tiled wooden roof. The fire department responded at 17:38 and brought it under control by 18:06, necessitating partial demolition of the roof to ensure complete extinguishment.

On September 16, 2026, a significant wildfire broke out near the community of Yiolou in Paphos. The blaze, which threatened nearby houses as reported by the Atlas volunteer group, prompted a large-scale response including ground forces, forestry personnel, and aerial assets.
