Cyprus Red Cross observes World First Aid Day with public training

On Saturday, September 12, the Cyprus Red Cross (C.R.C.) commemorated World First Aid Day by hosting educational events and practical demonstrations in Nicosia and Larnaca. The activities took place at the Nicosia Mall and Metropolis Mall, where instructors guided members of the public through essential first aid techniques. Participants were specifically instructed on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills, which are considered vital for immediate intervention during emergency situations.

The initiative aimed to highlight the critical importance of systematic first aid training. The Cyprus Red Cross, led by President Fotini Papadopoulou, emphasized that such skills are fundamental for public safety. In addition to these public demonstrations, the organization maintains ongoing training programs that provide citizens with the necessary knowledge and practical experience to respond effectively to health emergencies.
