Escalating trade tensions between the US, Canada, and the EU

The United States intensified its trade conflict with Canada on September 15, 2026, by implementing a 50% import tariff on various Canadian goods, including steel, fur, certain cheeses, and motorboats. The proposal suggests making Canada the first associate member of the EU.
