Cyprus ranks third in EU for workplace stress

According to the 2025 OSH Pulse survey, mental health in the workplace is becoming a critical issue across the European Union, with 29% of workers reporting stress, depression, or anxiety caused or exacerbated by their professional environment. The data highlights significant disparities in mental health outcomes among member states, emphasizing that workplace wellbeing requires as much institutional attention as physical safety protocols.

Greece leads the EU in reported workplace stress with a rate of 49%, followed by Finland at 45%. Cyprus is ranked third, with 41% of its workforce reporting work-related mental health conditions. These findings underscore the scale of the mental health crisis facing the labor force and highlight the urgent need for consistent strategies across member states to address these challenges effectively.
