Temu partners with CITEA to boost digital commerce for Cypriot firms
The global e-commerce platform Temu has officially partnered with the Cyprus Information Technology Enterprises Association (CITEA) to foster digital entrepreneurship and assist local businesses in accessing international markets. This collaboration, announced on September 15, 2026, aims to integrate CITEA’s member network with Temu’s digital infrastructure through joint events, programs, and communication initiatives designed to highlight the benefits of digital transformation.
The partnership builds upon Temu’s established presence in Cyprus, specifically following the 2025 launch of its 'Local Seller Program'. This program provides eligible Cypriot companies with access to European consumer markets, and the new agreement serves to further connect local firms with global digital tools. CITEA president George Malekkos emphasized that this initiative aligns with the association's long-term commitment to enhancing the competitiveness of Cyprus’ technology ecosystem.
In a separate development occurring concurrently during the same period, CITEA held high-level meetings with the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). These discussions focused on accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence and refining the national AI strategy, reflecting a broader effort to advance the digital maturity of the Cypriot economy.
