Recent water supply disruptions across Limassol districts

Multiple neighborhoods in Limassol have experienced temporary water supply interruptions between September 14 and September 17, 2026, due to various failures in the regional water network. The Limassol District Self-Government Organization (EOA) reported that repair crews were dispatched to each location to address the technical issues.

The incidents affected specific streets across several municipalities. On September 14, Kato Polemidia faced a water outage until 14:00. Subsequently, the community of Palodia experienced disruptions on September 15, with repairs expected by 13:00. On September 16, supply issues were reported in Ypsonas affecting Foti Pitta and Akropoleos streets, followed by a major incident on September 17 in Agios Athanasios, impacting streets including Promitheos, Dimitras, and others, with restoration targeted for 14:00.

In all cases, EOA Limassol took immediate responsibility for the repairs. Public notices were issued to keep residents informed about the status of the restoration work. While these outages were localized, they highlight the ongoing maintenance challenges within the district's aging water infrastructure.
