Plans for new industrial area in Polis Chrysochous

Mayor Yiotis Papachristofi of Polis Chrysochous met with the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Michalis Damianos, in Nicosia to discuss the establishment of an organized industrial and craft area. The proposed project, which is estimated to cost approximately 4 million euros plus VAT, is considered a critical step for boosting local business activity and economic development in the region.

During the meeting, officials addressed the readiness and necessity of the project. Minister Damianos confirmed that the Ministry will evaluate its priority projects in November to determine if funding can be secured through budget savings. If the financial resources are successfully allocated, the goal is to launch the project tender process within 2027.
