Construction contract signed for new CUT School of Marine Sciences in Larnaca

The Municipality of Larnaca has announced that the contract for the construction of the new building for the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT/TEPAK) School of Marine Sciences, Technology, and Sustainable Development will be signed on September 24, 2026. The ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the municipal offices.

The project was awarded to Cyfield Construction Ltd following a competitive evaluation process for a contract value of €10,934,000, excluding VAT. Construction works are slated to begin in October 2026, with a contractual completion timeline of 22 months. The facility is expected to be finalized by the end of August 2028.

The new academic facility will span 4,960 square meters across two floors. It will feature amphitheaters, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices for staff and students, as well as specialized laboratories. Furthermore, the design incorporates advanced IT infrastructure and remote learning support systems to meet the functional requirements of the academic department.
