Cyprus Public Transport updates Pame App with new features

Cyprus Public Transport (CPT) has introduced a significantly upgraded version of the Pame App during an event at the University of Cyprus, held as part of the European Mobility Week on September 15, 2026. The new features are designed to improve the usability of public bus services for passengers.

The upgraded application allows users to plan door-to-door routes, receive real-time updates on bus arrival times, and track vehicle locations live on a map. Furthermore, passengers can now plan trips based on their desired arrival time, as the app automatically calculates necessary departure times and available routes. The application also supports the management of bus cards, enabling users to top up credit or purchase tickets directly through their devices.

The Pame App was originally launched in 2020 when CPT first undertook the transport contract for Nicosia. According to Andreas Dimitriadis, Director of IT and Innovation at CPT, the decision to overhaul the platform was made in 2026 to enhance the overall passenger experience and provide more robust digital tools for public transport users in Cyprus.
