Lemesos municipality donates racing wheelchair to 365 Foundation

On September 15, 2026, the Lemesos Municipality officially donated a professional racing wheelchair valued at €4,600 to the 365 Foundation. The equipment was handed over by Mayor Yiannis Armeftis and members of the Municipal Youth and Sports Committee to the foundation's founder, Savvas Mina. The purchase was made possible through the proceeds of the 27th Marios Agathangelou International Road Race, held in 2025 as part of the annual Lemesia sports event, which raised a total of €5,051.35. The remaining balance from the race funds was also transferred to the foundation to assist with additional operational costs.

This initiative reflects the municipality’s stated commitment to promoting inclusive sports and providing equal opportunities for all residents. Beyond its sporting impact, the Marios Agathangelou International Road Race continues to serve as a platform for social contribution within the local community. Following this successful donation, municipal officials have confirmed that registration is currently open for the 28th edition of the annual race.
