Unsettled weather expected in Cyprus this week

Cyprus is currently under the influence of seasonal low pressure, which will bring a transition from clear conditions to more unsettled weather later this week. While Wednesday will begin mostly clear, increased cloud cover after midday is expected to trigger isolated rain and potential thunderstorms, primarily in mountainous regions. Temperatures will peak at 36C inland, 31C on the west coast, 33C on other coasts, and 28C in the mountains, with winds ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort and slightly stronger gusts on the southern coast.

A significant weather disturbance is forecast to arrive on Thursday and Friday, causing temperatures to drop noticeably. The upcoming forecast includes partly cloudy skies, isolated rain, and thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail during peak storm activity. Evening conditions on Thursday will also feature local rain and coastal storms, accompanied by the presence of suspended atmospheric dust. The unsettled pattern is expected to persist through Saturday, with continued isolated afternoon showers, particularly affecting inland and mountainous areas as temperatures continue their gradual decline.
