Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus organizes coastal cleanup
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC/SELK) will host a voluntary beach cleanup event in Limassol. The initiative is scheduled from 10:00 to 13:00 at the beach located near Gazebo Mare and Aktaia Street in the Karnagio area. This event, held in collaboration with Let’s Do It! Cyprus, aims to promote environmental awareness and is officially recognized on the global map of World Cleanup Day.
The program includes a welcome address from the SELK Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and the Limassol–Paphos Coordinating Committee, followed by a presentation on the philosophy of the movement. Panos Demetriou, Head of CSR at Let’s Do It! Cyprus, will lead an interactive seminar on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, the agenda covers beach safety and first aid training. The event will be attended by the Mayor of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis. Participants, including families, will receive participation certificates, and professional accountants can earn 3 non-verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units for their involvement in the seminars and cleanup activities.
