Cabinet approves first board of the National Clinical Documentation Center
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers officially approved the appointment of the first Board of Directors for the newly established National Clinical Documentation Center. This administrative milestone marks the transition of the facility from a legislative concept to an active operational entity tasked with overseeing evidence-based practices in the healthcare sector.
Health Minister Neofytos Charalampidis stated that the center is a major health system reform designed to bridge the gap between scientific research and daily clinical application. The organization will focus on developing and implementing modern medical protocols and guidelines, drawing on international best practices and validated scientific data. By formalizing these guidelines, the center aims to institutionalize the assessment and utilization of clinical knowledge, ultimately improving the quality and safety of health services provided to citizens.
