Four family members killed in Louisiana stabbing attack

A 47-year-old man, identified as Kaegan Jude Solet, has been arrested in Louisiana following a brutal stabbing attack that resulted in the deaths of four family members. The victims include Verna Mae Verdin, her daughter Letha Verret, her son Paul Verret, and Paul’s partner, Krissy Lynn Parfait. According to the local sheriff's office, the suspect was apprehended after a multi-hour manhunt following his release from a hospital on Tuesday. A relative of the victims indicated that the suspect was acquainted with the family.

A six-year-old boy, who was staying overnight at the home, also suffered severe knife wounds during the incident. Despite his critical injuries, the child managed to escape the residence and alert neighbors, which led law enforcement to discover the crime scene. The community is in shock as authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this lethal assault.
