Cyprus extends PAYE tax filing deadline to November 30

The Cyprus Tax Department has officially extended the deadline for employers to submit the Annual Declaration of Income Tax and Contributions (PAYE) for the 2025 tax year. The new deadline is now set for November 30, 2026. This administrative decision, issued by the Tax Commissioner, is intended to assist employers in meeting their regulatory obligations and ensuring compliance.

Employers who fail to submit their declarations by the November 30 deadline will face monetary penalties under Article 50A(a) of the Assessment and Collection of Taxes Law of 1978. The financial sanctions vary depending on the nature of the entity: individuals are subject to a €150 fine, while legal entities with a turnover or assets exceeding €1 million will face a €500 penalty. Other legal entities are subject to a fine of €250 for late filings. All employers are encouraged to complete the process before the deadline to avoid these charges.
