Eighth annual Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament to be held in Athens

The 8th annual Pavlos Giannakopoulos basketball tournament is scheduled to take place on September 18 and 19, 2026, at the Telekom Center in Athens. Organized in memory of the Panathinaikos BC historic leader, the event features four teams: Panathinaikos, PAOK, Partizan, and Bourg. Club legends Fragiskos Alvertis and Dimitris Diamantidis have officially invited fans to attend the games to honor the legacy of the late executive.

The tournament schedule has undergone minor changes regarding the start times for the Friday matches. The revised lineup confirms that PAOK will face Partizan, while Panathinaikos will compete against Bourg. Tickets are currently available for purchase as the club completes final preparations for the two-day memorial event.
