Omonia Aradippou secures Niko Havelka to bolster midfield
Omonia Aradippou, currently enjoying a successful start to the season with five points from their first three matches, is set to sign Croatian midfielder Niko Havelka. Following his departure from the club at the end of last season, Havelka remained a free agent and has now agreed to return for a fourth consecutive year. The player arrived in Cyprus this week and is scheduled to undergo medical and ergometric examinations to finalize the deal.
While the team prepares for their upcoming domestic fixture against Olympiakos, manager Giannos Okkas is looking to strengthen the squad's core. In addition to the arrival of Havelka, the coach expects player Minas Antoniou to be available for selection. Meanwhile, player Lomonaco is training with a protective mask, though his full return to competitive action is not expected until after the international break. The club remains focused on maintaining its unbeaten streak in the league.
