Simba Animal Aid organizes series of awareness and adoption events in Cyprus
The charitable organization Simba Animal Aid is launching a series of initiatives in Cyprus to address the rising number of dogs in need of care, food, and medical attention. These efforts include the "DOGfest - A Festival for Dog Lovers," scheduled for September 19 and 20, 2026, at Pavilion 6 of the State Fair, running from 10:00 to 20:00 daily. The festival aims to connect the public with rescue animals and highlight the importance of community support for animal welfare.
In addition to the festival, the organization is managing an adoption program for 35 dogs and facilitating the relocation of 15 dogs to the United Kingdom. Furthermore, a "RUN & PAWS" event is scheduled for September 26, 2026, to further promote animal welfare causes. These activities are part of a broader, ongoing strategy by Simba Animal Aid to secure permanent homes for dogs both locally and internationally, as the organization faces increasing demands for resources to maintain their rescue operations.
