Artistic duo montenegrofisher discusses collaborative poetry at SARDAM festival

As part of the SARDAM festival, the London-based artistic duo montenegrofisher—composed of Chilean poet Luna Montenegro and British poet Adrian Fisher—have shared insights into their unique collaborative creative process. The artists emphasize that their work moves beyond the written page, transforming literature into a multidimensional experience involving voice, sound, movement, and visual elements.

Central to their method is the concept of a "fluid space," where the final outcome of a piece is not predetermined. Instead, they engage in a reciprocal exchange where each artist initiates a text, which is then continuously swapped and modified. The duo noted that this collaborative model generates a "productive uncertainty," allowing individual histories and languages to coexist without the need to be resolved into a single, unified perspective.
