Qatargate: Greek Parliament lifts Avramopoulos' immunity, paving the way for a European arrest warrant

The Greek Parliament has voted to lift the parliamentary immunity of Dimitris Avramopoulos, facilitating the execution of a European arrest warrant issued by Belgian authorities regarding the Qatargate investigation. With 264 votes in favor, the former EU Commissioner stated he intends to cooperate voluntarily with the Belgian judiciary.
