Cyprus League enters fourth matchday before international break

The fourth matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan begins today, September 18, and continues through Sunday, September 20. The schedule kicks off with Omonia 29M facing AEK Larnaca and Pafos FC playing against AEL Limassol. Notably, the AEL side enters this fixture following a disciplinary dispute regarding a player sanction.

Saturday's schedule features two major encounters, including the Varoshian derby between Nea Salamina and Anorthosis at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium, and a highly anticipated clash at the Alphamega Stadium between Apollon and APOEL. Officials report that over 6,000 Apollon fans have already secured tickets for the latter, with attendance expected to rise. The matchday concludes on Sunday with three additional games: Omonia versus Krasava ENY, Aris against Karmiotissa, and Omonia Aradippou taking on Olympiakos.

Following these matches, the league will pause for two weeks to accommodate official international team obligations. The competition is scheduled to resume on October 9.
