Van set on fire in Limassol

A van was intentionally set on fire early Friday morning while parked outside its owner's residence in the Agios Ioannis area of Limassol. The Limassol Fire Station, specifically the 'Lochia Vassilis Krokou' unit, responded to the incident with two fire engines after receiving a call between 03:40 and 03:55. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 04:26.

The vehicle sustained extensive damage to its front section due to the fire and high heat. Authorities, including the Police and the Fire Department, are treating the incident as a case of arson. Preliminary investigations conducted at the scene provide strong indications of malicious intent.

The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has taken over the investigation and is working in cooperation with the fire services to determine the exact circumstances and identify those responsible. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to process evidence from the scene.
