Cyprus national football team announces squad for upcoming Nations League matches

The Cyprus national men's football team, managed by Akis Mantzios, has announced a 27-man squad for four crucial UEFA Nations League matches to be played over an eleven-day period. The team faces a demanding schedule, beginning with away games against Montenegro on September 25 at 21:45 and Latvia on September 28 at 19:00. These will be followed by two home fixtures at the GSP Stadium against Armenia on October 2 and Latvia on October 5, both kicking off at 19:00.

This series of matches is considered vital for determining the team's standing in Group 2 of League C. Coach Mantzios has called up 27 players drawn from 18 different clubs, highlighting a diverse pool of talent including those playing abroad. Notably, the squad features three debutants: Marcus Edwards, Leonidas Konomis, and Nikolas Tsaroullas. Preparation for this challenging stretch is scheduled to commence on Monday, September 21.
