Ministry of Education announces new procedure for parallel employment permits

The Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth has announced a new administrative procedure for staff employed in its support programs regarding the authorization of parallel employment. Employees on fixed-term or indefinite contracts who wish to engage in additional work must now utilize a specific electronic submission process to obtain the necessary permit.

To initiate the process, employees must access the official Ministry website at https://enimerosi.moec.gov.cy/d1/aye. Candidates are required to download the form titled 'Application for granting a parallel employment permit for fixed/indefinite term employees in the support programs of the Ministry.' Once completed, the form must be submitted via email to the designated official overseeing the specific program where the applicant is currently employed.

The Ministry emphasizes that all requests will be evaluated strictly against the established 'Terms and Conditions for Granting Parallel Employment Permits.' These comprehensive guidelines are also available for public review on the Ministry’s website. This measure aims to standardize the application process and ensure compliance with regulatory standards for all employees working under the Ministry's support schemes.
