Cyprus football season updates including Super Cup and Coca-Cola Cup draw

The 2026-2027 PAAOK football season kicks off on Saturday, September 26, at 16:00, with the 'Chrysanthos Kalogirou Shield' Super Cup match at the Stelios Charis stadium in Ypsonas. The game will feature a match between P&S Zakakiou, the runner-up from the previous season, and APOP Neon Parekklisias FC 2025, the reigning cup winners, as both teams contend for the first trophy of the year.

Separately, the draw for the first round of the Coca-Cola Cup for the first and second divisions will take place on Friday, September 25, at 11:00 at the GSP Conference Center in Nicosia. The draw will include 11 first-division teams and 10 second-division teams. Notably, Omonia Nicosia, Paphos FC, and Apollon Limassol are excluded from the first round due to their respective cup victories and European competition commitments. Additionally, four second-division clubs—Anagennisi Derynias, Ayia Napa, MEAP Pera Choriou Nisou, and PAEEK Kyrenia—have opted not to participate in this year's competition.
