United Cypriot Hunters Movement enters a transition period

The United Cypriot Hunters Movement has entered a transition period following the conclusion of its internal leadership nomination process. While party members showed strong interest in the positions of deputy president and vice presidents, no candidacies were submitted for the party presidency, resulting in a leadership vacuum for that specific role.

In response to this, the Political Committee appointed former Deputy President Lefteris Theodorou as interim president, while Antonis Polyviou has taken over as interim deputy president. This situation follows the decision of the long-standing president, Nikolas Prodromou, to step back from his leadership duties after nine years of service. Although the party leadership has expressed its full support and urged him to continue, Prodromou has requested a period of time to reflect before reaching a final decision on his future with the movement.

Despite stepping away from the presidency, Prodromou remains an active member of the party. The transition period is expected to ensure organizational stability until the situation regarding the presidency is resolved through further deliberations between the leadership and the outgoing president.
