Democratic Alignment announces party reorganization and new appointments

On September 18, 2026, the Political Bureau of the Democratic Alignment (DEPA) held a session to finalize plans for the party's restructuring and restart. Party President Marios Garoyian briefed members on a strategic design aimed at strengthening the party's organizational core and reconnecting with its base, local officials, and society at large.

Additionally, the Political Bureau unanimously approved the appointment of Renos Koumis as the new Secretary of Local Government. Koumis is tasked with improving coordination and communication between the party and its elected local officials.
