Weather forecast for Cyprus: rain and thunderstorms expected this weekend

A weak low-pressure system is set to influence weather conditions in Cyprus throughout the weekend, bringing a mix of sunshine and localized instability. Saturday will begin with mostly clear skies, but increased cloud cover is expected to develop in the afternoon, leading to isolated rain and brief thunderstorms, particularly in inland and mountainous regions.

Daytime temperatures will peak at 33°C inland, 31°C in coastal areas, 29°C on the west coast, and 24°C in the mountains. Winds will blow from south-westerly to north-westerly directions, initially at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening to 4 to 5 Beaufort later in the day. By nightfall, skies will clear, with temperatures dropping to 19°C inland, 21°C on the coast, and 13°C in higher elevations. Sea conditions are anticipated to be slightly rough to moderate.
