Thriller over the Atlantic: Power bank catches fire on flight with 322 passengers – damage to aircraft cabin

A KLM flight carrying 322 passengers from Amsterdam to Curaçao was forced to return to Schiphol airport after a power bank caught fire mid-flight over the Atlantic. The cabin crew managed to extinguish the flames, but the pilot decided to return as a precaution, landing 5.5 hours after departure. Reports indicate that the battery belonged to former KLM CEO Camiel Eurlings, who sustained minor injuries. Passengers were accommodated in a hotel and completed their journey the following day.
